Telaid constantly strives to uphold InfoComm's Audiovisual Best Practices and has recently reviewed and upgraded our complete sign off documentation process. This "behind the scenes" process guarantees that customers get both a fully functioning system and an informed service technician when you need one. InfoComm has defined the system commissioning process as having four steps:
1. Preparing for Commissioning
2. Generating a punch list
3. Establishing substantial completion
4. Inspecting and testing the system
In order to make sure that we complete all of these steps and provide the necessary documentation to our service department, Telaid has a series of electronic forms that must be submitted to document the completion of these four steps. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the process and ensuring that they are completed by the appropriate parties and are returned on time.
The use of electronic forms makes the information easy to gather and to store. All of our field technicians carry laptops and can complete these forms while at the jobsite. The completed forms are collected and stored electronically by job number. They are then easily accessed centrally should you ever need to call.
